Three impactful things happened yesterday. This little triangle of interrelating benign moments made a profound shift in me. Enough in so I felt the need to finally break my stubbornness on not writing. And it all started with a rude Reddit comment about cheeseburgers. 🍔

(Hi, hello, having been asked many times by various people if I still write anymore, will I have new entries on thedollsdiary, and my own quelling of overpowering urges to write, I am going to write more. On here and on there. Take this as your long winded disclaimer there is no expectation for you to read my diary entries. The next part of the disclaimer is I do not edit them, much in the way a pen marries a piece of paper upon imprint. It just so happens to be very convenient you are all voyeurs. And I, enjoy to write my innermost thoughts without writing for an audience.)

Back to this spiky little triangle. Spiky little triangle covered in a cheeseburger. Layer it with a business video on Youtube. Top with a fitness video that spoke to my core and shook me. Not my actual core, that was in the morning, my emotional core.

Stop eating so many cheeseburgers, this stupid fucking person said. On my profile, not a subreddit, on a beautiful picture. Stomping across everyone's emotional delightful lawns. Green, luscious, a bit wet and dewy. Stomping, laughing, with cheeseburgers falling out of their mouth as they grotesquely comment out of their way to try to peeve the day of anyone else. Predictably, this person had a history of mean comments to people upon my predictable clicking on their profile. How sad is the projection of another. Which we all do. Some keep it quieter than others. But the confidence behind being that stupid, yet, that loud. Ouch. No, you don't get bigger from cheeseburgers. You can get bigger from not eating. You can get bigger from a number of things. You can also be small and eat a lot of cheeseburgers.

All I could think about was who was the person when they were growing up that shamed and guilted them about cheeseburgers, or perhaps food in general. Who is the woman and women they hate that my cute little picture triggered. Regardless of their issues to work through, it is still fucking rude to spread false accusations about food and still fucking rude to try to ruin everyone else's enjoyment of a lovely picture.

Onto the business video, Sabri Suby was talking about with the rise of AI levelling the playing field for businesses and automation taking on many tasks. What's left? Imagination. Creativity. Solitude without consuming or device hand holding to strengthen these. Earlier in his video he had said something I had heard many years ago that most jobs can be replaced, but not of the CEO type. Why? Because of thinking.

What are skills that compound and become more rare and more valuable over time, impenetrable to automation?

Writing skills.
Which comes from thinking skills.
Communication skills.
Leadership skills.

Phew, well, I do love all of these and have been working on them for most of my life. More aggressively in my 20s. Shifted to focusing solely on my little guy's in my 30s. But, here is the thing, I need to stop neglecting mine. And as I begin nurturing my thinking, writing, communication, and leadership skills as passionately as I once did, along too I have that much more to give.

Lastly, Lily Sabri. A bit serendipitous she has the last name of the first name of the last guy. A chain link of meaning and a lovely end to my triangle. I originally found her channel looking for reformer pilates to do at home without that gorgeous hunk of a machine. Lily appeared. After following along her videos the last two mornings I decided to check out a video of hers on eating as I have been actively working on a sustainable eating lifestyle for myself the last couple of months.

She said something in the video about intuitive eating. And something I have never heard anyone say in my life, yet identify with greatly. She cooks like she has a family of ten AND cannot handle having an empty fridge. If she is hungry, she eats. She doesn't have cheat days, she does not restrict foods. She loves cooking. She loves being in the kitchen. The simplest alignment with this woman and it blew my mind. While also, is it more acceptable for her to say these things as she has a snatched six pack and has been a fitness trainer for many years? I believe, socially, 100%.

I am trying to imagine an overweight person or even thick saying these things and I feel like it would invite a lot of hate. Which is also interesting.

What is the difference between before becoming a mom and becoming a mom? Guilt. Neglect. Not for others. The focus has been entirely on others. On other people's wants, needs, and whims online which circulates 24/7 like a 7-11. The wants, needs, and whims of my sweet little guy.

To rewind back to my spiky triangle quickly. I do believe either deep down or a fool's luck in interpretation, Mr. Cheeseburger, Sabri, and Lily Sabri have in common the notion to stop neglecting, start nurturing. Myself.
