Do I have any followers in the film/acting industry? I just signed up for Backstage to see what’s up and there’s a lot of unpaid projects and even projects asking you to pay to work in their project. (Even if they’re someone who’s done respectable projects before that have made them money? They’re just choosing not to pay? It’s really weird.) Can someone enlighten or educate me on the goals of these or if there’s anything I should avoid? I don’t want to act topless for free in a film that ends up making some other people money down the line and all I get is my name in the credits. Are my concerns valid?
