hey all, apologies for the lack of mini paintings for the past few days, been quite busy with a lot of other responsibilities so thank you for the patience. As compensation, you'll be getting a lot of money shots for free.
in the meantime here's an update on the frigid battalion, nearly complete!
finally took the leap of faith and added some other colors to the battalion, heavily inspired by a similar paint scheme I found on reddit not sure what color to make the lasguns yet, vote what color you think would look best or make suggestions in the comments!

trying out a new wash method with oil paint + mineral spirits and it makes such a good thin wash that runs right into the cracks and crevices it even managed to get these cadians tiny helmet aquilas pretty well! feeling a lot better about them now

white base + weathering on the sentinel pretty much done, as well as most of the metalics. gonna be moving onto the finer details as well as the pilot some time soon

played my first game of 40k! pit my 1000 point guard against a group of nergle daemons had a big stalemate fight between my tanks and some mounted units, but it was still super fun and I can't wait to play more!

Added details to the leman russes, got some weathering chipped paint look going. looks good for now, but will be going in to fix up parts where I feel it's a bit overwhelming

update on the black templar: finished the white, freehand their logo, and added a hint of red to break up the monochrome a bit. definitely a bit messy but I'll try to clean it up a bit later!
